Kingaroy teacher Mrs Naomi Kotzur<\/strong> has received special recognition from St John’s Lutheran Primary School<\/strong> for her contribution to learning and teaching.<\/p>\n

Naomi was presented with a 2012 NEiTA Inspirational Teaching Award and a bunch of flowers at a school assembly this week to thank her for the inspiration she provides for students, teachers and parents.<\/p>\n

She has been teaching at St John’s for 16 years and currently teaches Year 4. S<\/p>\n

“Naomi is an inspiration to students and to other staff here at school,” St John’s principal Helen Folker said.<\/p>\n

“She is very experienced and enjoys being able to share her knowledge that she has gained over the years. Naomi is a caring teacher and we are all very proud of her nomination and it’s wonderful to see that school community members also recognise her special talents, her dedication and gifts.”<\/p>\n

Naomi is a dedicated teacher who focusses on developing relationships with the children and between children in her class and believes it is this foundation that allows quality learning to occur. Circle Time is a regular feature of her classes and the children know they will be able to celebrate successes and explore concerns in a safe and structured environment.<\/p>\n

NEiTA (National Excellence in Teaching Awards) is Australia\u2019s only teaching awards program where educational communities can nominate the teachers and leaders who make a real difference.<\/p>\n

The theme of the awards this year, “Great Teaching, Great Students”, encourages recognition of the important work of inspirational teachers and leaders in educating the next generation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
