{"id":47544,"date":"2013-10-14T16:55:26","date_gmt":"2013-10-14T06:55:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=47544"},"modified":"2020-08-21T18:51:23","modified_gmt":"2020-08-21T08:51:23","slug":"300000-road-funding-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2013\/10\/14\/300000-road-funding-released\/","title":{"rendered":"$300,000 Road Funding Released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>October 14, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Repairs to two more South Burnett roads have received a boost with almost $300,000 more &#8220;Betterment&#8221; funding released by the State Government.<\/p>\n<p>Silverleaf Road will receive $271,000 as part of a $734,988 project to cement stabilise the pavement road base across the carriageway and shoulders at four floodways and extend two-coat bitumen seals to cover the shoulders.<\/p>\n<p>A table drain will also be installed at one low point on the road to improve drainage and reduce inundation.<\/p>\n<p>Silverleaf Road received an estimated $808,589 damage in the 2011 and 2013 floods.<\/p>\n<p>A 28m concrete floodway will be built on Jerrards Road at Boondooma to increase the flood immunity and resilience of the road.<\/p>\n<p>The Betterment Fund will contribute $21,867 to the $872,445 project.<\/p>\n<p>Damage from the 2011 floods to Jerrards Road was estimated at $131,537 however works weren\u2019t completed due to the 2013 rains which caused an estimated $848,213 damage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other local projects which have been funded under the\u00a0joint State-Federal funding are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kumbia-Brooklands Road\u00a0\u2013 $390,949<\/li>\n<li>Aerodrome Road (Kingaroy)\u00a0\u2013 $174,733<\/li>\n<li>River Road, Kingaroy \u2013 $517,870<\/li>\n<li>Mondure-Wheatlands Road, Mondure \u2013 $181,926<\/li>\n<li>Pound Street, Kingaroy \u2013 $498,000<\/li>\n<li>Geritz Road, Kingaroy \u2013 $629,000<\/li>\n<li>Heading\u00a0Road, Sunny Nook \u2013 $395,600<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Repairs to two more South Burnett roads have received a boost with almost $300,000 more &#8220;Betterment&#8221; funding released by the State Government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":46043,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[22,3],"tags":[1131],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
