A T20 cricket competition was played on Saturday as a curtain-raiser to the 2013-14 South Burnett cricket season.<\/p>\n

Games were played in Murgon, Wondai, Kingaroy and Kumbia.<\/p>\n

Pool 3 games had been scheduled to be played at Nanango Showgrounds but a last-minute change of venue saw them being transferred to Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy<\/p>\n

Pool 1
\n<\/strong>Crusaders defeated Diggers
\nBarambah defeated Diggers
\n(Games played in Murgon)<\/p>\n

Pool 3 winner – RSL (A)<\/strong>
\nRSL (A) defeated Kumbia – 170 runs to 70
\nRSL (A) defeated Warriors (B) \u2013 passed Warriors total of 112 with 3 overs to spare
\nKumbia defeated Warriors (B) – 180 runs to 160
\n(Games played in Kumbia)<\/p>\n

Pool 4 winner – Warriors (A)<\/strong>
\nNanango defeated RSL (B)
\nWarriors (A) defeated RSL (B)
\nWarriors (A) defeated Nanango
\n(NB. Games played in Kingaroy, not Nanango)<\/p>\n

The winner of Pool 1 will play the winner of Pool 2 from 6:30pm on Friday, October 18, at Murgon Showgrounds.<\/p>\n

The winner of Pool 3 will play the winner of Pool 4 (TBA).<\/p>\n

Details of the Grand Final are yet to be finalised.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett will host two representative cricket matches next Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Kingaroy, the U19s South Burnett XI will take on Gympie at Lyle Vidler Oval.<\/p>\n

In Murgon, the South Burnett U13s will play Bundaberg at Murgon Sportsground.<\/p>\n

The other local rep sides will be on the road, playing Bundaberg at various venues: the U12s in Bundaberg; U14s in Gympie; and U16s in Hervey Bay.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
