Kingaroy Junior Soccer Club is excited to be bringing\u00a0ZOVA<\/a><\/strong> to the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

The ZOVA program combines music, dance, rhythm and soccer skills into an active and enjoyable experience in which children move to music, learn football skills and undertake aerobic exercise.<\/p>\n

Club President Tracey Tunstall<\/strong> is excited about the endless possibilities that ZOVA has to engage and excite children of all ages and sporting abilities.<\/p>\n

“We have some of our club members already doing ZOVA through having downloaded some of the exercises. The kids really enjoy it.<\/p>\n

“We’ve also shown it to others who aren’t club members or don’t play football and they really enjoy it too,” she said.<\/p>\n

“They’re being engaged in physically activity, which everyone wants for their child. And not only is ZOVA good for the body – it’s also good for the brain.<\/p>\n

“Exercise improves mood and attention and lowers stress and anxiety. It gets kids off the couch and out doing something fun and beneficial.”<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Junior Soccer Club will be running a two-day clinic on Thursday, June 28<\/strong> and Friday, June 29<\/strong>. Children aged 6\u201311 will run from 9:00am to noon and those 12 years and up will be from 1:00pm\u20134:00pm. Cost is $70 per person.<\/p>\n

Over the two days, players will take part in a series of small-sided games, skill development and music-based activities that are focused around player development and having fun.<\/p>\n

One of the best aspects of ZOVA is the use of technology which allows a larger number of players to be involved in the program at the same time.<\/p>\n

“We want to provide innovative experiences that children can relate to. Therefore, combining technology, music and sport is a winner,” ZOVA founder Niall McCarthy said.<\/p>\n
