September 28, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yarraman’s annual town festival, the “Colours of Yarraman”, will be in full swing this weekend. The first of the main public events of the festival, which celebrates spring and “new beginnings”, was held on Friday night at the Yarraman Community and Memorial Hall.<\/p>\n

Toowoomba Regional Council sponsored the Art and Photography Exhibition and Competition.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, the focus shifts to Heritage House in Millar Street.<\/p>\n

At 9:30am a street parade will move from the Ann Street end of John Street to Heritage House. Then from 10:00am to 2:00pm, there’ll be food and live entertainment in the grounds.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett’s famous musical tractor, “Mongrel”, will also make an appearance.<\/p>\n

At 6:00pm, a supper dance will begin at the Yarraman Community Hall with live music by the Sempfs. Wine and nibbles will be served from 6:00pm and supper from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, a free breakfast will on offer in Errol Munt Park from 7:30am, sponsored by the Bendigo Bank.<\/p>\n

Stanwell’s “Reading Bug Egg”, which is being cared for by local schoolchildren, is also expected to make an appearance.<\/p>\n

At 9:30am, prizes will be presented to the winners of the garden competition.<\/p>\n

There’ll also be market stalls, devonshire teas, jumping castle and food available.<\/p>\n

From 1:00pm, Larry Cann’s “Rockin’ Rodeo Road Show” will be held in the big marquee in Errol Munt Park.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
