The Kingaroy Heritage Museum in Haly Street has been luring local schools lately with several taking the opportunity to catch up on local history.<\/p>\n

Museum volunteer Wayne Collier presented talks on the history of the Heritage-listed peanut silos.<\/p>\n

The children also enjoyed participating in a “peanut hunt” \u00a0and were awarded a certificate for their detective skills.<\/p>\n

The museum is open every day and is free.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett Regional Council is encouraging parents to visit with their children to learn more about local history.<\/p>\n
