Cherbourg is sending out a big Yhurri-Gurri (welcome) to the town’s “golden oldies” to come back for a weekend of fun, food, good music and swapping memories on October 26-27.<\/p>\n

The main day, Saturday, October 26, will kick off at 11:00am at the Cherbourg Welfare Hall.<\/p>\n

Guests artists will be country music star Roger Knox, Lance “You’ll Never Find Another Cherbourg Boy Like Me” O’Chin, and Cherbourg’s own Muddy Flat Band.<\/p>\n

There’ll also be prizes for the best design shirt promoting your tribal group, lucky door prizes and photo shoots.<\/p>\n

On the Saturday night, a dinner and karaoke competition – sponsored by the Bigambul Traditional Owner Group – will be held at Murgon RSL from 6:30pm to 11:30pm (with a prize for the deadliest singer!).<\/p>\n

On Sunday morning, breakfast will be available on the deck at the Ration Shed in Cherbourg from 7:00am to 10:00am.<\/p>\n

The theme of the weekend, “Many Tribes One Community”, recognises the many different groups that were sent to Cherbourg.<\/p>\n
