Two games of 18 ends were played.<\/p>\n<p>Internet problems in Durong, so we don\u2019t have the scores but we can tell you the winners: Yarraman\u2019s Brian Dugdell skipped the winning team and runners-up were Goomeri. A good day had by all, so I am told.<\/p>\n<p>Durong have another big day coming up on October 19, Pink Chicks Day, a fund raiser for the Cancer Appeal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Let\u2019s look at Yarraman.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An inch of rain on Monday night made for a slower green for the ladies trophy day on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Triples were played, 2 for an end and 3 for a win.<\/p>\n<p>Comfortable winners were Yvonne Schultz, Kay Dugdell and skip Ivy Wrembreck. They won their game against Jenny Moore, Roy Wrembreck and John Moore 27-10. The green must have been running too slow for the greenkeeper.<\/p>\n<p>Runners-up were Eileen Elliott, Ron Lucas and skip Helene Johnson. They downed Rita Young, Eunice Smith and John Beatty 25-14.<\/p>\n<p>In another game \u2013 a close match worth mentioning \u2013 Allison Anderson doubling up and Di Currell defeated Margaret Willoughby, Horst Meyer and Glenda Wolski 16-14<\/p>\n<p>Thursday night bowls are back on the calendar. This week&#8217;s winners in triples were Allison Anderson, Arthur Smith, Neil Johnston 15 defeated Marg Clarke, Eunice Smith, Groge Wolski 5. In the pairs, Kerry Wyvill and Brian Dugdell 12 defeated Tom Clarke and John Moore 8.<\/p>\n<p>Rotational Triples are on today. Nanango is bringing a busload down to Yarraman to recover bragging rights.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Some brief notes from Nanango. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They had some woolly weather earlier in the week and some players have spent the week cleaning up fallen trees.<\/p>\n<p>No damage to the greens, thank goodness.<\/p>\n<p>Friday of last week, Scroungers &#8211; top scrounger Les Joyce on 92<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Men&#8217;s Social (2 games 12 ends): \u00a0Henry Bleisner &amp; Ed Haycock 1w+27; \u00a0Joe Aglizzo, Nev Lawrence &amp; Ben Pratap 1w+25; Lew Saunders &amp; Athol Jensen 1w +19; Bob Hammond Greg Pogson &amp; Les Joyce 1w +19.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Ladies Social, a score worth mentioning: \u00a0Di McNuloge, Lyn Halliday, Doris Drew &amp; Evelyn Jensen 25 def Silvia Fanning, Kerry Little, June McKee &amp; Sue Tucker 15.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">* * *<\/p>\n<p><strong>Some news from Kilcoy \u00a0(great to hear from our neighbours). <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thirty-four players from Allora Gardens visited last Sunday for social play \u2013 enjoyed themselves so much they have booked for a rematch next year.<\/p>\n<p>The club\u2019s Mixed Pairs final was won by Bill Edwards and Trudi Pratt. They defeated Max Morrow &amp; Tracey Evans but no scores given to me.<\/p>\n<p>It was Pub Day last week with Toogoolawah winning the day.
