Reanna Fenton (Nanango Foodworks), Charmaine Broderick (Nanango Real Estate), Brittany Gray (Copper Country Restaurant) and Toni Stock (Nanango Cabinets) are four of the contestants who’ll be vying for the title of 2013 Heritage Nanango Mardi Gras Princess<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

September 19, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Nanango Funfest committee is conducting a search for this year’s Heritage Nanango Mardi Gras
\nPrincess.<\/p>\n

All young women aged 16 years or over who live in Nanango or the surrounding districts are eligible
\nto take part (although contestants under 18 years of age will require their parent or guardian\u2019s consent).<\/p>\n

And the winner will receive $1000 worth of prizes, including $500 cash.<\/p>\n

Judging for this year’s Princess will take place at a gala $20 per head public event held at Nanango’s
\nCopper Country Restaurant on Wednesday, October 9.<\/p>\n

At the judging, contestants will be introduced individually by the compere and invited to make a brief
\npresentation outlining their background and expectations for the role of Princess.<\/p>\n

Guests will then be given an opportunity to vote for the contestant of their choice by secret ballot.<\/p>\n

The winner will be decided solely on the basis of the number of votes received, and will be crowned
\nHeritage Nanango Mardi Gras Princess 2013 on the night.<\/p>\n

The Princess will take a prominent place in the Mardi Gras Parade through the streets of Nanango on
\nSaturday, October 12.<\/p>\n

To enter, girls need to complete and return the official 2013 entry form<\/b><\/a> along with a sponsorship fee of $100 to the Nanango Funfest committee by Monday, September 23.<\/p>\n
