The Burnett Softball Association held a \u201cHave A Go Day\u201d on Saturday at the softball grounds in Nanango and \u00a0… but don’t worry if you missed out, they’ll be doing it again next Saturday, too.<\/p>\n

Club spokesman Brett Reeve said the season plans for both the adult and junior competitions were still being finalised but at this stage it will kick off on October 19.<\/p>\n

There had also been a suggestion that the children’s competition be held on Friday afternoons and the adults’ competition mid-week, but nothing had been confirmed as yet.<\/p>\n

The club’s next major activity is a “Batter Up” day which will be held at the Burnett Street softball grounds in Nanango on\u00a0October 5 from 9:00am-2:00pm.<\/p>\n

Cost is $54 which includes a softball and a softball glove,\u00a0but the first 25 registrations are free. Registrations must be received by September 23.<\/p>\n

Softball Batter Up is a fun, skill-based development program.<\/p>\n

Brett said the club had some other exciting activities planned for later in the year, including an All-Stars game. More details about this would be released when final arrangements were confirmed.<\/p>\n
