The South Burnett cricket season is just around the corner with sign-on days being held for junior clubs and the draw for the senior competition being formulated.<\/p>\n

At this stage, the first matches in the senior competition are scheduled to begin on October 12.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Cricket Association secretary Paul Clegg said there would be six \u201cA\u201d grade teams and six \u00a0\u201cB\u201d grade teams.<\/p>\n

The first representative match will be an U19s match between the South Burnett and Gympie on October 20.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Kingaroy Junior Cricket Club held a sign-on day at Lyle Vidler Oval on Saturday morning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Interested players aged between 5 and 15 years who didn’t make it to the sign-on day on Saturday can also come along to the first training session which will be held on Wednesday, October 9, at Kingaroy State School from 4:00pm.<\/p>\n

The Murgon District Cricket Club will be holding sign-on days on Thursday, September 19 (4:00pm-6:00pm), and Tuesday, October 8 (3:30pm-6:00pm), at Murgon Cricket Grounds.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There will be a sausage sizzle and the canteen will be open.<\/p>\n

The Club is also looking senior and junior players and coaches.<\/p>\n
