South Burnett Regional Council has entered into a partnership with Links Community Services to provide a recycle shop in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The shop, to be known as RecycleLinks, is located on the corner of Kingaroy and Cornish streets in the Kingaroy Industrial Estate and is now accepting reusable items which would otherwise end up as landfill.<\/p>\n

“The partnership aims to reduce the volume of waste entering our region\u2019s landfills,” South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said.<\/p>\n

Council’s Manager for Environment and Waste Services Craig Patch said every year thousands of useable items are unnecessarily dumped in the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

“This includes items such as furniture, children’s toys, bikes, building materials and homewares,” he said.<\/p>\n

The recycle shop partnership will create a pathway for these items to be reused and therefore minimise landfill while also benefiting the community.<\/p>\n

Residents who wish to donate items to RecycleLinks can do so by either:<\/strong><\/p>\n
