The South Burnett is now officially the home of one of Australia\u2019s top eight Nissan dealerships – for the second year running.<\/p>\n

Huston Nissan in Kingaroy was presented with a Global Nissan Award by the Nissan Motor Company today in recognition of the dealership’s outstanding performance over the last 12 months.<\/p>\n

Mr Ian Moreillon, Executive General Manager of Nissan Australia\u2019s Franchise Development Unit, flew from Dandenong in Victoria to present the award to the Huston team in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The award recognises exceptional performance across all facets of a Nissan dealership\u2019s operations – both in sales, post sales satisfaction and ongoing customer care.<\/p>\n

It is the second major award Huston Nissan has won in the past month.<\/p>\n

In late August, Huston\u2019s was awarded Platinum Nissan Dealership status after passing a gruelling series of tests that examined every facet of the business\u2019s operations, from marketing through to after-sales service.<\/p>\n

It was also the second year running that Huston Nissan had won that award – and while four dealerships in the Northern region won it in 2012 (and area that stretches from northern NSW to Cape York), this year Huston Nissan was the only Northern Region dealership to achieve the honour.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s award is a step higher, into what Mr Moreillon described as “an exclusive worldwide club”.<\/p>\n

“There are 190 Nissan dealerships Australia-wide, but only eight achieved Global Nissan Awards this year,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Only two of those were in regional Australia – and Huston Nissan is one of those two.”<\/p>\n

Mr Moreillon said winning a Nissan Global Award was recognition of hard work and evidence of high-level team performance, and it was ranked across all Nissan dealerships world-wide.<\/p>\n

He said Nissan now sell 5.5 million cars globally each year and Australia – with 67 models of cars on offer – was one of the toughest markets for car manufacturers to compete in.<\/p>\n

Even so, the brand achieved well above average growth in Australia over the last twelve months.<\/p>\n

The company also expected to do the same in 2013-14 when it releases three completely new models onto the market in November.<\/p>\n

Mark Huston, who accepted the Award on behalf of his team, said he was “personally thrilled” Nissan had recognised his staff\u2019s great work.<\/p>\n

“Success in our industry requires dedication, hard work and a very strong focus on customers.” he said.<\/p>\n

“This award recognises each of these elements. And getting it two years in a row against very, very stiff competition from big name city dealerships is humbling.”<\/p>\n

He said Nissan had continued to go “from strength to strength” in Australia.<\/p>\n

He was particularly proud that customers chose his company when it came to new and used cars despite the South Burnett’s “difficult” economic circumstances in 2012-13, with the region still recovering from devastating floods and the significant hit these had inflicted on staple rural industries.<\/p>\n

“Nissans are very suitable cars for regional Australia, and our customers have proven this themselves over many, many years.”<\/p>\n

He added that he was looking forward to the new model releases, and would be bringing them to the South Burnett as soon as possible once they became available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
