Entries in the South Burnett’s biggest photography show – the Cliff Krebbs Memorial South Burnett Interclub Competition – will close this Friday, September 13.<\/p>\n

The competition draws entries from all the region’s photography clubs (ie Blackbutt, Nanango, Kingaroy and Murgon) and has become an annual showcase for the best photography the region has to offer.<\/p>\n

This year the competition will have six themes:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Animals, Birds or Insects<\/strong> – either as a portrait or the creature in its environment<\/li>\n
  2. People<\/strong> – a photograph in which the dominant feature is a human being, either alone or in company, in any form (eg: a portrait, depicting their environment or engaged in an activity)<\/li>\n
  3. Pictorial<\/strong> – a photograph of any subject which has good composition and lighting to give it strong pictorial appeal<\/li>\n
  4. Creative<\/strong> – a photograph which presents a subject in a pleasing manner which is not normally observed by the human eye, generally through camera, darkroom and\/or digital manipulation<\/li>\n
  5. Flora<\/strong> – a photo of vegetation, either still life or in its habitat<\/li>\n
  6. Emotions<\/strong> – a photo of a person or people experiencing one of the human emotions, and possibly including the cause of the emotion<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Each of the region’s clubs can enter five images per theme, or a total of 30 images per club.<\/p>\n

    The 2013 Interclub entries will be displayed to the public at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery on Saturday, October 12.<\/p>\n

    Entry forms need to be emailed to the Murgon Camera Club by Friday, September 13 and images entered in this year’s competition need to be handed to the Wondai Regional Art Gallery before 9:30am on the morning of the exhibition.<\/p>\n
