Graham House Community Centre staff like Amanda List has made Murgon State High School student Celeste Purcell\u2019s weekly work experience a joy<\/figcaption><\/figure>September 10, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

Celeste Purcell hates 3:00pm on Wednesdays. It\u2019s the time when she has to pack her things at Graham House Community Centre\u2019s transport service office.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I don\u2019t want to go,\u201d the Murgon State High School Year 12 student said of her weekly work experience.<\/p>\n

She loves her day of laminating, faxing, filing, mail sorting, computer work and liaising with clients.<\/p>\n

Celeste, 16, was nervous on her first day but settled when colleague Amanda List said \u201cthat\u2019s just because you care\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I did,\u201d Celeste said of her wanting to impress fellow workmates.<\/p>\n

She has thrived in the job and believes it could be the launch of a career in administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love working here,\u201d Celeste said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it would be very rigid like school but you do things at your own pace, just as long as you get them done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Celeste said her work colleagues also made her feel comfortable.<\/p>\n

So does she go home with a smile on her face?<\/p>\n
