Cherbourg State School students loved their visit to the University of Sunshine Coast last month\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Nearly 50 Cherbourg State School students found how “deadly cool” the University of the Sunshine Coast can be when they visited its campus recently.<\/p>\n

The group, which are working on digital literacy, have been studying with USC student teachers for six weeks before heading to their campus.<\/p>\n

The students used iPads to take photos and recorded their sounds and thoughts to help them create a poem.<\/p>\n

Dr Anne Drabble, from USC, said aim of the project was to and lift the students’ education goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want the students to see attending university as a real possibility,\u201d Dr Drabble said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe children thought their visit was fantastic.\u00a0 They were so focussed and a brilliant group of students to work with. I feel they will go back to their parents and talk about the wonderful learning experiences they had, just as we will talk about their time here at USC.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
