September 8, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Burnett Softball Association will be holding a “Have A Go Day” on Saturday (September 14) at the softball grounds in Burnett Street, Nanango.<\/p>\n

Beginners and experienced players of all ages are welcome to come along and sign-up for the upcoming season.<\/p>\n

There’ll be free “Have A Go” games, a jumping castle, face-painting and a sausage sizzle.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is just the first in a series of activities that Burnett Softball is planning.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, October 5, they’re running a Burnett Softball Batter Up development program at the grounds in Nanango.
\n<\/strong>
\nSoftball Batter Up is a fun, skill-based development program.<\/p>\n

It will run from 9:00am-2:00pm.<\/p>\n

Cost is $54 which includes a softball and a softball glove, but the first 25 registrations are free<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Registrations must be received by September 23.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday, October 19, the Burnett Softball Summer Season commences.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Individual and team registrations are being taken now.<\/p>\n

Children may be eligible for the State Government’s $150 voucher under the “Get Started” program.<\/p>\n

Season fees are $50 (primary school students), $80 (secondary school) or $100 (all other participants).<\/p>\n

On Saturday, November 23, the Burnett Softball Festival will be held at the Burnett Street softball grounds.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There will be a junior “Come and Try Clinic”, and Open Age OzPitch tournament, showbags, jumping castle etc.<\/p>\n

A fun Patriots Exhibition Game will also be played.<\/p>\n
