Motor sports have kept the RACQ CareFlight helicopter busy today with two medevacs from different ends of the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

The Bundaberg-based helicopter airlifted a 50-year-old Bundaberg man from the Manar Park trail bike and motocross centre near Proston.<\/p>\n

The man suffered a serious shoulder injury when he crashed his bike this morning.<\/p>\n

The helicopter’s intensive care flight paramedic treated the man for a fracture and stabilised him at the scene before the helicopter airlifted him to Bundaberg Hospital for further treatment.<\/p>\n

Also today, RACQ CareFlight’s Toowoomba crew was called to Motocross Mountain, near Cooyar, after a rider was badly injured in a fall.<\/p>\n

A helicopter spokesman said the man suffered a broken femur after attempting a jump.<\/p>\n
