Guests at the Kingaroy TAFE training restaurant will be dining with top-quality locally produced wine thanks to a donation from a local winery.<\/p>\n

Kingsley Grove Estate owners Mike and Patricia Berry have donated bottles of verdelho, chardonnay, semillon and sparkling wines on an ongoing basis to go on the restaurant\u2019s wine list.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy TAFE Hospitality Teacher Jason Ford said he was thrilled with the donation, saying it would broaden the students\u2019 wine knowledge, and subsequently increase their “employability”.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s wonderful to have the support of local businesses,” Mr Ford said.<\/p>\n

“Kingsley Grove is a valued industry partner for TAFE, and they\u2019ve recently been listed in James Halliday\u2019s Australian Wine Companion for 2014.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re privileged to be training with such quality wines.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Berrys made the donation after being impressed with the quality of Kingaroy TAFE\u2019s hospitality students, and the training they receive.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was a TAFE student for a while, training in computer systems and thoroughly enjoyed it. I believe it\u2019s important for South Burnett locals to have access to affordable, quality vocational training,\u201d Mr Berry said.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy TAFE\u2019s open-to-the-public training restaurant, the Taabinga Room Restaurant, is held on Wednesdays.<\/p>\n
