There’s nothing quite like swapping stories around a campfire at night …<\/p>\n

Prep to Year 6 students at St Mary’s Catholic College in Kignaroy had the opportunity this evening to listen to some special campfire tales as part of Book Week.<\/p>\n

As the students (in pyjamas and dressing gowns) huddled with their parents around an open fire, teachers took turns at reading stories.<\/p>\n

The evning was organised by teacher \/ librarian at the school Mel Burr.<\/p>\n

Teachers Marty Perrett, John Dalton, Pam Radcliffe and principal Michael Nayler also selected short stories to read to the children.<\/p>\n

The evening concluded with milk and biscuits.<\/p>\n

Other events that will be taking place at St Mary’s this week as part of Book Week include a “Book Parade” tomorrow morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
