Three dogs who attacked a toddler and his mother in Blackbutt at the weekend have been put down.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council Planning and Environment General Manager Stan Taylor said a council worker attended the scene of the incident on Sunday.<\/p>\n

He said the owner had agreed to surrender the dogs, three American Bull Dogs, and they had since been euthanased.<\/p>\n

Mr Taylor said Council had not received any previous complaints about the dogs.<\/p>\n

“As far as we are concerned, we have taken the appropriate action. We have removed them from society by euthanasing them.”<\/p>\n

Mr Taylor said the mother and son were “ok” and had received stitches.<\/p>\n

No further action would be taken against the dogs’ owner.<\/p>\n
