July 28, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Christmas in July” was a good excuse for staff members from the three Catholic schools in the South Burnett to come together on Saturday night to enjoy some festive cheer.<\/p>\n

This is the second year that St Mary\u2019s Catholic College in Kingaroy has hosted a Christmas In July dinner for staff members in the school’s Maryknoll Centre.<\/p>\n

But this year as well as local staff members, teachers from St Joseph’s Murgon and St Patrick’s Nanango also joined in, as well as representatives from Catholic Education in Brisbane.<\/p>\n

The staff members enjoyed a pig-on-the-spit cooked on site as well as all the Christmas trimmings and live entertainment.<\/p>\n

The darkened school hall was adorned with Christmas lights and decorations, all carefully erected by teacher Mark Richard and a team of helpers.<\/p>\n

The evening is designed to be a bonding and morale building event for the staff.<\/p>\n
