{"id":3929,"date":"2012-05-29T10:23:32","date_gmt":"2012-05-29T00:23:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=3929"},"modified":"2021-02-01T13:30:45","modified_gmt":"2021-02-01T03:30:45","slug":"lions-trails-challenge-riders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2012\/05\/29\/lions-trails-challenge-riders\/","title":{"rendered":"Lions Trails Challenge Riders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>May 29, 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>More than 300 riders, ranging from pee wees to seniors, took part in the annual <strong>Kingaroy Lions Trail Ride<\/strong> at Alice Creek at the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Lions Club spokesman <strong>Neil Edmunds<\/strong> said the Open 42km track, which had some optional &#8220;extreme&#8221; sections, challenged the senior riders.<\/p>\n<p>This track began at Clarkes Road and extended into the foothills of the Bunya Mountains, all on private property.<\/p>\n<p>Novices tested their skills on a smaller 14.5km track and the pee wees had their own separate circuit.<\/p>\n<p>The event isn&#8217;t a competition so the riders are just there to have fun, something which the Lions Club is happy to assist.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s getting hard for dirt-bike riders these days to find somewhere legal to ride,&#8221; Neil said.<\/p>\n<p>Kingaroy SES joined Kingaroy and Nanango Lions Club in assisting at the event.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #006699;\"><b>Helmet-cam video posted by K1 on YouTube:<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fwsAUHoOTOg?rel=0\" width=\"740\" height=\"440\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than 300 riders, ranging from pee wees to seniors, took part in the annual Kingaroy Lions Trail Ride at Alice Creek at the weekend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":69080,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,6],"tags":[188,187],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
