Durong Green Frogs Girls Guides are holding a Family Fund Day this Sunday (July 21) at Durong Community Hall in aid of the Lindsay family who lost all their belongings in a house fire in May this year.<\/p>\n

The day starts at 11:00am and includes outdoor novelty games, tennis, face painting, demonstrations from Queensland Fire and Rescue and Li\u2019l Squirt with rides for the kids.<\/p>\n

There will also be raffles and a lucky door prize.<\/p>\n

Snacks and drinks will be available during the day and there will be a pig on the spit for lunch ($10 per person or $35 per family).<\/p>\n

Chantelle from CROW-FM will be there with her family and will have some giveaways as well as doing live on air crosses.<\/p>\n

Durong Girl Guides and the local community have replaced many of the family’s belongings but funds from this day will really help them back on their feet.<\/p>\n

It is also an opportunity for the Girl Guides to earn their Community Service badges.<\/p>\n

Durong South State School P&C and Queensland Fire and Rescue Service and the Durong community in general have been instrumental in getting this event off the ground.<\/p>\n
