South Burnett Jobmatch, the specialist organisation which provided job opportunities for disabled people, is no more.<\/p>\n

From this week it’s now “JobLinks Employment And Training Service”, a new name that CEO Leesa Osborne said better reflects the group’s expanded roles.<\/p>\n

As well as its established office at 7 Glendon Street, Kingaroy, (near the SES shed), JobLinks has now opened an office in Cherbourg (near the Council building) and in Gympie.<\/p>\n

It has also become a registered training organisation.<\/p>\n

The group’s landscaping supplies business, Gardening AdVentures, is also changing its name.<\/p>\n

This is located on the corner of Kingaroy and Cornish streets, Kingaroy, and provides work opportunities for clients.<\/p>\n

Ms Osborne said this role would continue but Joblinks had now also signed a contract with the South Burnett Regional Council to recycle items from the Kingaroy tip.<\/p>\n

These items will be refurbished and then sold back to the public under the banner of “RecycleLinks & Landscape Supplies”.<\/p>\n

She said anything that could be “done up” and sold would be collected from the tip or the public could leave items directly at RecycleLinks.<\/p>\n

Joblinks raised awareness of its new name with a promotion outside Kingaroy Shoppingworld this morning which included giveaways and an outside broadcast by CROW-FM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
