Jordan Pressnell kicked the South Burnett’s sole goal during a one-sided match up against University on Saturday in the Darling Downs AFL competition.<\/p>\n

University, who were semi-finalists in 2012, are currently at No 2 spot on the ladder and were simply too strong at home for the competition newcomers who had put up a good show against them in Round 6.<\/p>\n

The final score was University 30.15 (195) to \u00a0South Burnett 1.3 (9).<\/p>\n

The solitary goal occurred in the last quarter, allowing the Saints to salvage some pride before the full-time siren.<\/p>\n

Best on the paddock for the Saints were Nathan Trace, Adam Bowater, Will Reid, Dylan Bowater, Alexander Totton and Jordan Pressnell.<\/p>\n

Next Saturday the Saints will face Warwick in a home game at Lyle Vidler Oval.<\/p>\n

They’ll be hoping for a better showing against the Redbacks than in Round 4 when they were defeated 28.8 (186) to 1.9 (15).<\/p>\n

It is also their “Heritage Day” round where past and present South Burnett Australian Rules players (ie Dogs, Jets and Saints), committee members, volunteers and supporters have been invited to join in a day of \u201csharing on-the-field and off-the-field memories\u201d.<\/p>\n
