The South Burnett Regional Council may not have to take over management of the South Burnett Private Hospital after all.<\/p>\n

After telling Council earlier this year that it would not be renewing its lease when it expires on August 15, it seems that Pulse Health – the current operators of the hospital – may still be interested in running it into the future.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann told Kingaroy business operators this evening that the good news was that the hospital, no matter what happens, will remain open “forever and a day”.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a meet’n’greet organised by the Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Mayor Kratzmann said Pulse Health have indicated they are “a bit keen” to keep on running the hospital.<\/p>\n

However, he said, if they did it would be “on our terms”.<\/p>\n

Council would be happy with this arrangement as “health is not our core business”.<\/p>\n
