South Burnett residents will have the opportunity next week to chat with author Liz Caffery, creator of the region’s special book of memories about the 2011\/13 floods, “Reflections”.<\/p>\n

There will be a “Meet the Author” day at Kingaroy Library on Thursday, July 18, from 10:00am-2:00pm.<\/p>\n

Residents have been invited along to enjoy a coffee and chat with Liz and hear about some of the memorable flood experiences of people from our South Burnett community.<\/p>\n

A slide show of 150 key images from the book will also be on display.<\/p>\n

“Reflections” recently finished its roll-out across the region.<\/p>\n

Copies of the book are available to peruse at 20 locations: Bjelke-Petersen Dam, Blackbutt Library, Boondooma Homestead, “Cedarvale\u201d at the Bunya Mountains, Cherbourg Council Office,\u00a0Kingaroy Library, Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre,\u00a0Kumbia Heritage Museum, Lake Boondooma, Maidenwell Hall\/Library, Moore Hall, Murgon Library, Murgon Visitor Information Centre, Nanango Library, Nanango Visitor Information Centre, Proston Library, South Burnett Regional Council office in Kingaroy,\u00a0Wondai Heritage Museum, Wondai Library and Yarraman Heritage House.<\/p>\n

A preview version is also available\u00a0online<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hard copies can be ordered through the South Burnett Regional Council\u2019s offices.<\/p>\n

A DVD of 150 of the key photos has also been prepared as a teaching resource for South Burnett schools and will be distributed over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n
