Petrol heads seemed to be having a devilishly good time at the annual “Raising Hell In Maidenwell” car show at the weekend.<\/p>\n

Saturday was the public day of the three-day rally at the Maidenwell sportsground which is organised by the South Burnett Gas Guzzlers Rods and Customs club.<\/p>\n

The oval was filled with hot rods and street machines, and even a few classic cars tossed in for good measure.<\/p>\n

Everything from a Willys ute street machine to a meticulously restored Studebaker Hawk.<\/p>\n

Some of the vehicles had a “rock’n’roll” 50s theme, \u00a0which was echoed in the classic caravans that also dotted the grounds.<\/p>\n

Car enthusiasts come from all over south-east Queensland for the weekend, which includes live music and events at the Maidenwell Hotel.<\/p>\n

On Sunday morning, participants took part in a “mystery cruise” around the South Burnett.<\/p>\n
