It is moving towards Muir Drive and Hamilton Road.<\/p>\n<p>Stay prepared as the fire could get worse quickly.<\/p>\n<p>At 6:30pm, there were 16 fire crews in action at the incident.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>EARLIER:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>At 3:10pm on Saturday, a &#8220;Prepare To Leave&#8221; bushfire alert (see below) was issued for residents in the Oaky Creek Road, Old Esk North Road, Hamilton Road and Muir Drive areas of South-East Nanango.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This follows a &#8220;Stay Informed&#8221; alert issued earlier at 1:22pm.<\/p>\n<p>At 4:15pm, three water-bombing aircraft were assisting firefighters on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said the bushfire was burning in challenging and inaccessible terrain.<\/p>\n<p>There were no structures under immediate threat but the fire was moving quickly, which is the reason why the &#8220;Prepare To Leave&#8221; alert had been issued.<\/p>\n<p>The fire broke out about 12:20pm.<\/p>\n<p>At 4:00pm, 21 fire units were in action.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Earlier on Saturday afternoon, a shed wall was &#8220;charred&#8221; during a large grass fire burning near the intersection of Kingaroy-Cooyar Road and Brooklands-Pimpimbudgee Road at Brooklands.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This fire broke out at 12:05pm and at one stage 13 fire units were on the ground, with a waterbomber assisting firefighters.<\/p>\n<p>A &#8220;Stay Informed&#8221; warning was issued to local residents at 12:42pm and police were called in to divert traffic on Kingaroy-Cooyar Road.<\/p>\n<p>By 3:30pm, the fire had been extinguished but rural fire crews were patrolling the area.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Fire crews were also working to protect structures on Saturday afternoon at a large grass fire burning on the western side of Spring Creek Road at Harlin.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This fire broke out at noon.<\/p>\n<p>A waterbomber had been called in to assist firefighters on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>At 4:00pm, fire fighters were still in action with 14 crews at the incident.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>PREPARE TO LEAVE &#8211; South-East Nanango<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Fire as at 3:10pm Saturday, September 19, 2026\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Warning Level:<\/strong> Watch and Act<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warning Area:<\/strong> Between Oaky Creek Road, Old Esk North Road, Hamilton Road and Muir Drive<\/p>\n<p>A dangerous fast moving fire is burning near Old Esk North Road and Oaky Creek Road.
