Time is running out for artists to submit an offer to paint a mural on a privately owned wall near the start of the South Burnett Rail Trail in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council has gained permission from the owner of the building for a mural to be painted on the concrete masonry block wall.<\/p>\n

Council is seeking to hire an artist – or an artists’ collective – to create a public artwork in keeping with Council\u2019s preferred design concept in this key location.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a wonderful opportunity for a talented artist to help bring the South Burnett Rail Trail to life through a vibrant public artwork,” Cr Danita Potter said.<\/p>\n

“This is a chance to brighten up the rail trail, showcase local talent and create something that residents and visitors can enjoy for years to come.”<\/p>\n

Submissions close at 2:00pm next Tuesday (September 22).<\/p>\n
