September 15, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2026 South Burnett Year 12 School Formal season kicked off with a vengeance on Friday night with both Nanango State High School and St John’s Lutheran School in Kingaroy hosting gala events.<\/p>\n

The Nanango students and their partners arrived in everything from a semi-trailer to a horse and carriage and a T-bucket hotrod.<\/p>\n

As well, there was the usual smattering of American muscle, including Mustangs and Chevs, and Aussie classics.<\/p>\n

The students and their partners stepped out on to the red carpet as the sun slowly set behind them, walking proudly into the High School auditorium.<\/p>\n

The red carpet was also busy at St John’s with the students also posing for a group photograph on the steps of the senior school before retiring to Whip Bird Chapel restaurant for a private function.<\/p>\n

On Friday night, it will St Mary’s Catholic College’s turn in Kingaroy, with the first cars due to arrive in Glendon Street from 5:00pm.<\/p>\n
