Kumbia residents had the opportunity to meet their new officer-in-charge at a “Coffee With A Cop” morning on Friday.<\/p>\n

Senior Constable Cameron Knust began work at Kumbia Station a few weeks ago, after being transferred from Blackbutt.<\/p>\n

The Knust family are already getting involved with the local community and were special guests at the recent Kumbia Neighbourhood Watch 35th birthday celebration.<\/p>\n

Also chatting with residents in Apex Park – and sharing a coffee from a local shop – was Acting Inspector Chris Donovan, from the South Burnett Patrol Group.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Snr Const Knust said the Kumbia Station would be open every Monday from 9:00am to noon for residents, unless he was called out on an urgent job.<\/p>\n

However, he emphasised that if the station was unattended, residents should always call PoliceLink on 131-444 or Triple Zero in an emergency.<\/p>\n

As before, the Kumbia station cannot cannot handle weapons licences.<\/p>\n
