{"id":374895,"date":"2026-08-08T11:03:16","date_gmt":"2026-08-08T01:03:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=374895"},"modified":"2026-08-08T11:20:36","modified_gmt":"2026-08-08T01:20:36","slug":"two-airlifted-after-truck-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2026\/08\/08\/two-airlifted-after-truck-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Airlifted After Truck Crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>August 8, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two people were airlifted to hospital after a truck crash on the Burnett Highway near Glan Devon on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency services were called just after 6:30am to the incident, which also involved a Ford Ranger.<\/p>\n<p>The highway was blocked between Runnymede Road and Manumbar Road for several hours.<\/p>\n<p>At 11:00am, it was still closed to traffic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A QAS spokesperson said two patients were flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A police spokesperson said the driver of the Ford Ranger, a 31-year-old man, suffered serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Three fire crews were sent to the incident but a QFD spokesperson said there were no entrapments.<\/p>\n<p>The truck flipped onto its side, blocking traffic, while the vehicle ended up in a ditch beside the highway.<\/p>\n<p>Council workers were called to helped to clear debris from the roadway.<\/p>\n<p>The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.<\/p>\n<p>Police have appealed for anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[UPDATED]<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two people were airlifted to hospital after a truck crash on the Burnett Highway near Glan Devon on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":358070,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,24],"tags":[25,1228,1132],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
