$889 per MW<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Wind<\/strong> &#8211; $1089 per MW<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>BESS<\/strong> &#8211; $157 per MW<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Other Energy Storage (including hydro)<\/strong> &#8211; $889 per MW<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The funding received will be allocated across five categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Stream A (Infrastructure)<\/strong> &#8211; To support the SBRC&#8217;s infrastructure plans and projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Stream B (Infrastructure &amp; Community Operations)<\/strong> &#8211; To support the cost to operate and maintain SBRC infrastructure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Stream C (Community Infrastructure)<\/strong> &#8211; To construct, enhance and maintain community infrastructure including sporting fields, halls, facilities etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Stream D (Community Support)<\/strong> &#8211; One-off or ongoing support and sponsorship of community groups, community associations, sporting clubs or individuals (by Council approval)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Stream E (Energy Sector Co-ordination and Administration)<\/strong> &#8211; Contribute to covering the cost of managing the CBAs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SBRC councillors voted unanimously to adopt the Renewable Energy Community Benefit Agreement Policy after a confidential debate at their July meeting.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The motion included an amendment that Council, at its discretion, give a higher preference to supporting projects, initiatives or requests for funding from applicants close to renewable infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The preference for &#8220;proximity&#8221; known locally as &#8220;Pieface&#8221; &#8211; in Henry Street, Nanango, has been knocked back.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The SBRC refused the Development Permit at the direction of the State Assessment and Referral Agency (SARA).<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, local residents organised a petition against the proposed development at 17 Henry Street.<\/p>\n<p>The project would have included hi-flow diesel bowsers, truck parking spaces and an above-ground diesel tank.<\/p>\n<p>Entry to the site would have been via dual entrances off Henry Street.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>South Burnett Regional Council is celebrating the first anniversary of the South Burnett Animal Management Centre with a special promotion.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All adoptions &#8211; dogs, puppies, cats and kittens &#8211; will cost just $100 until Thursday, August 20.<\/p>\n<p>All the animals will be vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and desexed.<\/p>\n<p>Dogs registration will also be included.<\/p>\n<p>Since the SBRC took over the centre from the RSPCA, 130 animals have been rehomed.<\/p>\n<p>The centre, at 43 Warren Truss Drive, Kingaroy, is open Monday to Friday 10:00am to 5:00pm (10:00am-3:00pm or by appointment for adoptions) and Saturday from 10:00am-1:00pm.
