July 23, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police have charged two men over an alleged deliberate dangerous driving incident in Kingaroy on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

About 8:10am police were conducting patrols when they allegedly saw a 1996 Honda Civic and a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer rapidly accelerate from traffic lights at the intersection of Haly and Fisher streets.<\/p>\n

It will be further alleged both vehicles continued travelling side by side, eastwards along Haly Street before being intercepted by police.<\/p>\n

Officers seized both vehicles, impounding them for 90 days.<\/p>\n

A 20-year-old Ellesmere man and a 21-year-old Kingaroy man have been given a notice to appear for one count of racing vehicles on the road.<\/p>\n

Both men are due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 2.<\/p>\n
