Applications for the next round of the State Government’s “Play On!” sports vouchers will open next Monday, July 27.<\/p>\n

The vouchers are valued up to $200 and help reduce membership fees and participation costs for children aged between 5 and 17.<\/p>\n

Parents can choose to use the vouchers for either summer or winter sports.<\/p>\n

More than 3750 Queensland sporting clubs now accept the Play On! vouchers, with allocations set aside for children living with a disability or in regional and remote areas.<\/p>\n

Member For Nanango Deb Frecklington said 1735 children across her electorate had benefited from Play On! vouchers during the last financial year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“This is about supporting families, strengthening grassroots sport and making sure more children have the opportunity to get active and be part of their local sporting community,” she said.<\/p>\n

“We know the cost of living is putting pressure on household budgets, and sporting registration fees can be a significant expense for many families.\u201d<\/p>\n
