Two local Councils are among 21 across Queensland to receive funding for CCTV cameras under the State Government\u2019s $40 million <\/span>Secure Communities Partnership Program.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cherbourg Council will receive $326,184 for security improvements and surveillance and alarm systems.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council will receive $43,678 to deter crime and increase security for small businesses.<\/p>\n

Small Business Minister Steve Minnikin said the State Government\u2019s partnership with councils was delivering vital crime prevention measures for a large number of small and family businesses. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cThis program is continuing to deliver practical crime prevention measures that create a safer environment for small businesses, their staff and customers,\u201d Minister Minnikin said.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n
