It was Kingaroy’s turn on Wednesday to celebrate “50 Years Of Deadly” with a NAIDOC Week celebration in the Kingaroy Town Hall Forecourt area.<\/p>\n

A section of Glendon Street was blocked off from traffic to allow market stalls and information marquees to be erected.<\/p>\n

The NAIDOC celebration included a flag-raising ceremony and speeches by South Burnett mayor Kathy Duff and Cherbourg mayor Bruce Simpson.<\/p>\n

Students from Kingaroy State High School performed a series of modern Indigenous dances.<\/p>\n

There were also craft demonstrations and activities for the children.<\/p>\n
