White tablecloths, the finest china and dainty snacks … Murgon’s 55 Million Years Ago museum and art gallery hosted another of its popular “Elegant Afternoon Teas” on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The afternoon teas are held to coincide with the opening of the art gallery’s latest exhibition.<\/p>\n

Works from South Burnett artists line the walls and are available to purchase.<\/p>\n

The gallery, which fills the southern end of the museum complex in Macalister Street, changes the artworks on display every two months.<\/p>\n

The fine diners are invited to select a “People’s Choice” award for their favourite artwork, which this month was won by local artist Diane Woodall.<\/p>\n
