South Burnett artist Elizabeth Greensill and her twin sister Helen have works filling the main gallery at Wondai this month<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Twin sisters Elizabeth Greensill and Helen Richards are late bloomers when it comes to creating art but you wouldn’t know it from their joint exhibition at Wondai Regional Art Gallery this month.<\/p>\n

The pair grew up on a dairy farm near Goomeri and loved art as children, but life and raising families meant their creative impulses were put on hold.<\/p>\n

In Helen’s case, she said it took her 40 years to re-discover the joy of photography and then explore painting in pastels.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth’s favourite media are watercolours and oils, but the pair both enjoy travelling – which at times turns into art trips!<\/p>\n

Their artworks fill the walls of the main gallery at Wondai.<\/p>\n

In Gallery 3, local artist Rebecca de Winne has a colourful and vibrant display of artworks, worked in acrylics, which explore modern cultural clich\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

In Gallery 1, Amy Wood has “Bush Tales”, paintings created from her challenge to create one artwork every day.<\/p>\n

The exhibitions will remain on display until 3:00pm on June 27.<\/p>\n

The gallery is open from 10:00am to 3:00pm, seven days a week. Entry is free.<\/p>\n
