This will improve reliability, sporting fields\u2019 turf quality, player safety and equitable access across multiple sporting user groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Wooroolin Community Committee Inc<\/strong>\u00a0will resurface one of their key tennis courts and improve associated precinct elements, including fencing and the clubhouse, which will enhance safe participation and community use for the township.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Blackbutt RSL Sub-Branch<\/strong> will buy a generator to maintain essential services during power outages and enable the venue to operate as a hub for community support and co-ordination point during severe weather and disasters events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Stanwell CEO Michael O\u2019Rourke congratulated the recipients and met with members of the Kingaroy Hospital Auxiliary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough the Tarong Community Partnership Fund, Stanwell previously supported the Kingaroy Hospital Auxiliary by helping to fund the purchase of a non-invasive ventilator for the hospital. The ventilator was the first of its kind for the region,\u201d Mr O\u2019Rourke said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s great that with this new funding, the hospital will be able to purchase ultrasound equipment to further improve patient outcomes for Kingaroy and the South Burnett.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kingaroy Hospital Auxiliary president Alison Murray said the support from the Tarong Community Partnership Fund had made a real difference to the hospital and the wider community.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese grants help us deliver important projects and services that directly benefit local people and also assist with upskilling hospital staff and training medical students at Griffith Campus, Kingaroy,&#8221; Ms Murray said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur partnership with the Tarong Community Partnership Fund has enabled us to provide improved health services in Kingaroy, leading to better health outcomes for locals and visitors to the region, and enabling patients to be treated locally, instead of travelling long distances for medical procedures.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stanwell General Manager Southern Generation Mick Joy said the Tarong Community Partnership Fund was fundamentally about contributing to valuable initiatives and programs within the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cContributing to our community\u2019s growth and development is an important part of how Tarong Power Station, Meandu Mine and Stanwell operate, and it\u2019s great news that we\u2019re able to support some exciting and essential initiatives and projects this year,\u201d Mr Joy said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the 2025-2026 financial year alone, Tarong power stations and Meandu Mine invested almost $250,000 across 10 incredible community groups, helping to bring their projects and events to life across the South Burnett, Cherbourg and Toowoomba regions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany of these organisations rely entirely on the dedication and hard work of volunteers, and we\u2019re proud to play a role in supporting them in any way that we can.&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>More information about the grant scheme is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stanwell.com\/community\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four South Burnett community groups will share in almost $115,000 from the Round 1 of the Tarong Community Partnership Fund for 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":373084,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[5,172,3],"tags":[83,1551,21,245],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
