It’s a quiet English village (aren’t they always?) until a mystery ad appears in the local newspaper, residents gather at Miss Blacklock’s house and gunshots ring out …<\/p>\n

So whodunit? Agatha Christie fans – and Nanango audiences! – know that when Miss Marple is on the case, the baddies will eventually be brought to justice.<\/p>\n

“A Murder Is Announced” is the latest production by the Nanango Theatre Company.<\/p>\n

The two-act play is based on a classic 1950s Agatha Christie murder mystery, adapted for the stage in 1977 by Leslie Darbon.<\/p>\n

The Nanango production has a cast of 12, directed by Anne Davoren, plus a supporting crew of volunteers.<\/p>\n

Linda Bebbington has been cast in the lead role as Miss Marple and Nick Backstrom as Inspector Craddock.<\/p>\n

There are only six performances of this popular play, so tickets are expected to sell out quickly:<\/strong><\/p>\n
