May 27, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nanango Panthers hosted another massive Mini Roos junior soccer carnival Sunday with teams coming from across southern Queensland for the big day.<\/p>\n

Games for U6s through to U12\/13s were played across 14 fields (plus a novelty games area) at the Alan Downie Sports Fields in Nanango.<\/p>\n

Young players from the three South Burnett clubs – Nanango, Kingaroy and Barambah – took on visiting teams from as far away as Pittsworth and Bundaberg as well as towns including Stanthorpe, Chinchilla, Dalby and Toowoomba.<\/p>\n

Gazebos filled with proud parents and friends lined the fields (and made parking a premium in Burnett Street and surrounding areas).<\/p>\n

A team of Nanango Panthers’ volunteers taking player registrations and refereeing as well as working in the canteen and barbecue tent ensured everything ran smoothly during the huge event.<\/p>\n

Other Soccer Results<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

In Round 3 of the Senior Women’s competition, played last Friday night in Kingaroy, Barambah defeated Kingaroy Easts 2-0; and Kingaroy Wests downed South Burnett United 3-0.<\/p>\n

Two men’s games in the Dalby Community Competition were played in Kingaroy on Sunday:<\/p>\n

  • Kingaroy Division 1 Men def. Wests Wanderers 3-0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Goal scorers were Lincoln Sauer, Adrian Watt and Phillip Griffith<\/p>\n

    • Chinchilla Grizzlies def. Kingaroy Division 2 Men 4-2<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Braxton Collin kicked the two goals for Kingaroy<\/p>\n

      This weekend, one game will be played in Kingaroy on Saturday: Kingaroy Division 1 v TN Uni SQ at 5:00pm.<\/p>\n

      The Kingaroy Division 2 team will take on Pittsworth in Pittsworth at 11:00am on Sunday.<\/p>\n

      Round 4 of South Burnett junior football will continue on Saturday from 8:30am at the Kingaroy Redbacks\u2019 junior fields in Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n
