A man who broke into a South Burnett Regional Council depot in January 2024 and stole a Nissan Navara – which was later torched – has been jailed by a Bundaberg court.<\/p>\n

The incident in the South Burnett was part of a much larger crime spree which extended to Bundaberg and included arson, several break-ins, assault occasioning bodily harm while armed, receiving tainted property, dangerous driving and domestic violence offences.<\/p>\n

James Ian Warren, 42, pleaded guilty to the charges when he appeared for sentencing in the Bundaberg District Court on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Judge Allen KC sentenced Warren to a total of seven years and six months in jail.<\/p>\n

Taking into account time already served in custody, Warren will be eligible to seek parole in September.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
