Police are investigating the theft of three vehicles from across the South Burnett, recovered in Cherbourg on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

At 3:07am, police received reports of an unknown number of people walking along South Street, Wondai, attempting to break into cars.<\/p>\n

It is believed the same group then broke into a property on Grant Street and threatened the occupants before stealing a Hyundai Tuscon and a Kia Sportage.<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said that after further attempted burglaries in Scott Street, Wondai, and Heading Street, Murgon, the thieves drove through the Cherbourg in the two stolen vehicles as well as a white Toyota LandCruiser.<\/p>\n

The Hyundai was located about 5:25am at the intersection of Bell and Broadway streets in Cherbourg after being set on fire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Kia was recovered by police abandoned in Fisher Street.<\/p>\n

The Toyota LandCruiser, which was reported stolen from a property in Moffatdale at 11:50pm on Friday, was found near Cherbourg cemetery.<\/p>\n

Police are conducting increased high visibility patrols around Cherbourg and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n

Detectives are appealing to any residents or drivers in the vicinity of these incidents who may have CCTV or relevant dashcam footage to contact police.<\/p>\n

They are particularly interested in anyone who may have seen the white Toyota LandCruiser around the time of the incident.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
