UPDATE:\u00a0 A police spokesperson said the missing man had been located safe and well.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police are seeking urgent public assistance to locate a 78-year-old man reported missing on Friday.<\/p>\n

Jay Bentley was last seen in Gladstone about 10:00am and was travelling to the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition that may cause confusion.<\/p>\n

Jay is Caucasian, approximately 178cm tall, with a slim build, grey hair and brown eyes.<\/p>\n

Investigations indicate Jay’s last known location was at the intersection of Abel Road and the Wide Bay Highway, Lower Wonga, about 2:30pm.<\/p>\n

Jay is travelling in a silver Holden Rodeo with Queensland registration 782-KGT.<\/p>\n

Police believe he may be in the Goomeri, Gympie or Kilkivan areas.<\/b><\/p>\n

Police are appealing to anyone who may have information about Jay’s whereabouts or who have seen his vehicle to contact Policelink on 131-222.<\/p>\n
