April 1, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

The South Burnett Rugby League has released the draw for its 2026 A Grade season … and it’s official, there will be six senior teams competing this year!<\/p>\n

Blackbutt-Yarraman Timbertowners will be fielding an A Grade team for the first time since 2013 when they made it through to the semi-finals.<\/p>\n

They will be competing against the Nanango Stags, Kingaroy Red Ants, Wondai Wolves, Murgon Mustangs and Cherbourg Hornets.<\/p>\n

Round 1 will be hosted by Cherbourg at Jack O’Chin Oval on April 18.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It will feature a rematch between last year’s grand finalists, Kingaroy and Cherbourg.<\/p>\n

Although hopes for a combined South Burnett \/ Central Burnett competition this year didn’t come to fruition,\u00a0 two “Battle Of The Burnett” games have been scheduled with rep teams from both regions going head-to-head.<\/p>\n

The first Battle Of The Burnett game will be played in Kingaroy on May 30, followed by a rematch at a venue in the Central Burnett on July 11.<\/p>\n

The locations for this year’s finals series have also been released: the semi-finals will be in Kingaroy on August 22, the preliminary final in Murgon on August 29 and Blackbutt will host the grand final on September 5.<\/strong><\/p>\n
