The South Burnett Eagles U16s put in a strong performance against Dalby at the Nanango Stags’ recent big day of pre-season rugby league.<\/p>\n

The Eagles led 22-4 at half-time before pulling away to a 38-4 victory.<\/p>\n

Tries were scored by Dallas Cooper (3), Jed Ninness, Patterson Braithwaite, Robbie Ashcroft and James Meagher while Tyler Fuller-Sandys kicked five conversions.<\/p>\n

In the main game, the Nanango Stags A Graders suffered a narrow loss to the Kilcoy Yowies, 30\u201328.<\/p>\n

* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Nanango Stags will be hosting a fundraising golf day for the club on Saturday (March 28).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The two-person 18-hole ambrose at the Nanango Golf Club will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00am. Cost is $30 for adults or $15 for juniors (including a free hamburger).<\/p>\n

There’ll be prizes and raffles, and players, supporters and all community members are welcome!<\/p>\n

On Tuesday (March 31), the Stags will be holding their annual community Easter Egg hunt at Fred Kassulke Oval.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The fun and games will get under way at 4:00pm.<\/p>\n

There will also be a sausage sizzle and drinks available to buy.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett Rugby League has confirmed will there will be an Under 15s Eagles team competing in the Toowoomba Junior Rugby League competition this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They will join South Burnett Under 16 and Under 15\/16 Development Cup teams in the Toowoomba JRL\u00a0 competition, although no draw has yet been released.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett draw is also in the final stages of preparation; the senior season is due to kick off on April 18.<\/p>\n
