Akaysha Energy, the developers of the Halys Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Ellesmere, hosted an evening for suppliers and local tradespeople last week in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The event, held at the Carrollee Hotel, was an opportunity for local businesspeople to meet the team behind the project, learn more about job opportunities and register their interest.<\/p>\n

Representatives from the principal contractor, Consolidated Power Projects (CPP), were also present.<\/p>\n

An Akaysha Energy spokesperson said there would be local employment and contracting opportunities available throughout the construction phase.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 400MW \/ 1600MWh BESS will be built on Oakey Creek Back Road, next to the existing Halys substation.<\/p>\n
